My Words Helped Somebody
[Originally a Facebook Post]
I want to thank everybody for their very kind and supportive responses to the message I shared about how my book “SM 101” helped a submissive realize that they were in a bad situation and get out of it. Learning about their plight and how my words helped them escape it shook me up more than a bit, and I therefore really appreciated your comforting support.
I have since spoken to the submissive in question, and I’m very pleased to share with you that there is good reason to believe that they are now permanently out of that toxic situation.
A writer often works in a rather abstract world, without too much in the way of direct, immediate feedback. A writer’s world can all be rather cerebral, rather impersonal. It is therefore…rather a different thing…to have somebody look you in the face and say, “Thank you. Your book really helped me at a time when I really needed help.”
I am a thoroughly flawed individual, riddled with errors and shortcomings (ask anybody who knows me reasonably well 😄), but it seems that every now and then I manage to write a useful line.
More seriously, such feedback helps me keep in touch with exactly why it’s important for me to continue my work.
Again, my heartfelt thanks. Your responses meant a lot.
We now return you to your regularly scheduled pervery. 😉
Best regards to all,
Jay
