Rope bondage was my first love in BDSM and is still one of my favorite activities. I therefore wrote this book as something of a "labor of love" to share my 45+ years knowledge of and enthusiasm for the subject.
Throughout the book the reader will find helpful illustrations, more of the "quotes" that were so popular in SM 101, some beautiful artwork, and a good-sized glossary.
The book starts with a general review of BDSM basics including safe calls/silent alarms, then addresses such topics as different degrees of monitoring for various types of bondage, an essay about self-bondage, and discusses both how bottoms commonly escape and how to release them when the time comes.
From there it covers different types of ropes, then describes simple but widely usable and very effective knots. Specific techniques include more than half a dozen single-column/single-limb cuffs, more than half a dozen double-column/double-limb cuffs, several arm harnesses, leg harnesses, and body harnesses,, including some Japanese-types of harnesses, breast and genital bondage, and 20 pages just on the hogtie (one of my favorite ties).
The book also covers blindfolds, gags, earplugs, and hoods, and discusses "formal" equipment such as leather cuffs and other restraints. Special techniques include techniques for tying larger-sized bottoms.
The book also contains numerous illustrations and erotic drawings.
This is my most popular and best-selling BDSM book after SM 101, and I think it's fair to say that there are very good reasons this is so.
